What the tool does with your data
The text you type and the CSV files you load are processed in your browser to draw the codes, ZIP files and PDFs. They are not uploaded, stored on a server or shared.
What our server records
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, serves the pages. Our server counts page visits by page, country and referring site. It does not store your IP address or your browser’s user-agent text, and the site sets no cookies of its own.
Payments and license checks
Payments are handled by Waffo, our merchant of record. We never see your card details. To send your license key we receive the email address and country you entered at checkout and the amount paid; we keep them with the order to answer support and refund requests. Entering a license key sends the key and an ID for this browser to our server, which checks whether the key is valid. Nothing you typed into the tool is sent. Before you go to checkout, your pasted batch list is kept in this browser’s storage for up to 2 hours so it is still there when you come back; it never leaves your device.
Your data rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or the CCPA), you can ask us what personal data we hold about you, get a copy of it in a machine-readable file, have it corrected or deleted, ask us to stop or limit using it, and withdraw any consent you gave. Email support@data-matrix-generator.com from the address you used at checkout, or include your order number, so we can find your order. We reply within 30 days. Deleting an order also deactivates its license key. Where the law requires us to keep a payment record we keep only that, and Waffo, as the seller, keeps its own records under its privacy policy. You can also complain to the data protection authority where you live.
How long we keep data
Order records (email, country, amount and the encrypted license key) are kept while the license can be used and for as long as we need them to resend keys, handle refunds and meet legal requirements; you can ask us to delete them sooner. Visit counts contain no personal data and are kept for up to three months. Support emails are kept for as long as the matter needs.
Where data is processed
Our server and database run on Cloudflare’s global network, so data may be processed in a country other than yours. Payments are processed by Waffo.
Children
Data Matrix Generator is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you think a child has given us data, email support@data-matrix-generator.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes we update it here and change the date at the top of the page.
